What types of rice does Sharda Rice Mill supply?
We mill and supply premium non-basmati rice, including Kolam, Super Kolam, Slim Kolam, Steam Kolam, HMT Gold, 24 Carat Gold, Double Old and other aged (old) varieties. Both new-crop and aged rice are available.

What is the difference between new rice and old (aged) rice?
New rice is milled soon after harvest and has higher moisture, giving a softer, stickier cooked texture. Old rice is aged for several months before milling; it cooks fluffier with well-separated grains and absorbs more water, which is why many households and restaurants prefer it.
