30 years ago with the vision for providing food in the remote areas of Maharashtra and other states and employing several farmers, industrialist Mr. Dilip Doshi started SHARDA RICE MILL in Chamorshi district. The year 1991 was marked as the initial step up for development in the backward area. Cutting to present, Sharda Rice Mill has five plants in total; three being in Chamorshi and two in the neighbouring city Nagpur with latest technologies like SATAKE, SUNCUE, BUHLER and APIT whose plant capacity is 26 and 18 ton per hour respectively.
Mr Doshi's vision enabled him to be the best in business and make his company the finest in milling and processing of non basmati rice. Sharda Rice Mills exclusively supplies to famous brands like 24 carat gold, sharda's Tara steam, Rangeela, Nawaab Jaiprakash Chinnor and Sharda's DD. These brands supply rice to all metropolitan cities and eventually you have beautiful white non basmati rice, a true staple of Indian diet. Since 1991 SRM has bought basic source of income to 1000s of farmers and workers and bought food to even more households of India.

Sharda Rice Mill is into exporting rice to foreign countries like Cotonou, Madagascar, Lome, Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, Morocco, Djibouti, Cote d'ivoire and Oman.
